Four Tips for Growing Pigs in Summer:
First, feed more feeds and additives for cleansing and purging. Common wheat bran, bean cakes, peanut cakes, detoxified food additives, artificial salt, pumpkin, etc., can be optionally added according to conditions, sorghum, melon, cotton stalks and Distillers grains and other hot feeds are fed as little as possible.
Second, the supply of clean water in summer pigs more water, which needs more water for suckling pigs and piglets, so the best feeding in the summer is to feed thin meals. Place basins or troughs in the circle to supply clean drinking water at any time. Under high temperature conditions, a pit can be dug in the pigsty to fill the cool well water for the pig to “mudâ€, but the cool well water must not be splashed directly on the pig.
3. Dispel mosquitoes and flies in the night pigsty to ignite the mosquito coils or hang the crystal trichlorfon wrapped in gauze to prevent mosquito bites. Do a good job every day to rinse the feeding utensils and clean the pigsty to avoid infection.
4. During the night, when feeding more of the high temperature in summer, the pigs usually move and eat at night when the temperature is low. Before the evening rest, they can put enough food in the pigsty. After the pigs eat, they can sleep for 18 hours in one day, which is beneficial to the pig's weight gain. To make pigs gain weight rapidly during the summer heat season, feeds can be applied 3 times per night. Feeds are given at 7pm, 11pm and 4am respectively, and during the day they need to be at 10am and 2pm. Half a day can be fed with 0.5% saline.
The amount of feed is as follows: before 35 kg, the pig feeds 2 kg per day, and drinks 0 kg of salt water; when 35-60 kg, it feeds 2.75 kg per day, and drinks 5 kg of salt water; when it exceeds 60 kg, it can feed 3.5 kg per day, and drinks salt water. 7.5 kg.
