Precautions for purchasing and using pellet feeders

Pellet feeder is a machine that compresses pulverized feed into pellet feed. It can produce pellet feed for fish, shrimp, chicken, duck, goose, rabbit, pigeon and other aquatic products and livestock and poultry breeding.

From its structural form, it can be divided into two types, the ring mode and the flat mode. The medium and large grain feed machines mostly adopt the ring mode structure, and the small machines mostly use the flat mode structure.

The ring-mode pellet feeder has the characteristics of reasonable structure and high production efficiency. The surface hardness of the processed pellets is high. However, the aircraft manufacturing process is complicated and the overall price is high.

Compared with the ring-mode pellet feeder, the flat pellet feeder has a simple structure, convenient use and maintenance, and low manufacturing cost, but the processing efficiency is relatively low.

Users should pay attention to the following points when purchasing and using pellet feeders:

First, the chassis tightness inspection. Check the tightness of the body and the chassis, the motor (or diesel engine) and the chassis. For the flat-pattern pellet feed machine, the assembly quality of the template-locked screw field and the pellet cutter is mainly checked; for the pellet-feed pellet feeder, the fastening of the template and the press wheel bracket and the press wheel is mainly checked.

Second, stir the dragon check. Turn on the powder and feed it to the observation port of the auger and check if there is any foreign matter in the auger. Turn the auger shaft by hand and it should turn smoothly without rubbing noise.

Third, the warehouse door seal inspection. Repeatedly switch the ring mold to suppress the door, check whether it is easy to switch, closed tightly. In particular, it is necessary to check the sealability and locking reliability of the pressurizing chamber and powder feed auger connection, and to achieve the requirement of accurate positioning, firm locking, and no leakage of powder.

Fourth, safety inspection. In order to prevent foreign matter from entering the machine and damaging the machine, a safety interlock is set on the main shaft of the large-medium-sized pellet feed machine. When a foreign substance enters the ring die, the resistance of the main shaft increases sharply, and the safety linkage interlocks with the main shaft. The safety bolt breaks. At this moment, the convex edge on the coupling immediately touches the fork of the limit switch. Cut off the power to the spindle motor to protect the pellet feeder from damage. Therefore, when purchasing, it must be carefully checked whether the convex edge of the spindle safety linkage can effectively touch the fork of the limit switch. In order to prevent the ring die of the pellet feed machine from inadvertently injuring the operator during operation, some machines install a limit switch in series with the spindle motor power on the suppressing door. Only when the door is closed, the power of the spindle motor can be turned on. Is switched on. The inspection method of this trip switch is the same as the inspection method of the safety linkage. The powder feed inlet of the pellet feed machine must be equipped with a security magnet, which can be used to check if the function is reliable. Belt pulleys, drive shafts, flanges, etc. of pellet feeders must be equipped with protective hoods in order to effectively protect the safety of operators.

Fifth, test and check. After the granule feed machine is normal in its empty test, the load test run can be carried out. After the powder is fed into the auger, a suitable amount of powder is added and the current reading of the spindle motor is observed, so that the machine can be tested under moderate load. Sixth, finished product inspection. The pellet feed should have a smooth surface, neat sections, and no cracks; it has a certain surface hardness and it is difficult to squash it by hand; the specifications of the finished product should be uniform and the qualification rate must not be lower than 95%.
