Spring chicken feed adjustment

In the spring, the feed for laying hens must master the supply of nutrients. Too much or too little influence the laying rate of laying hens.

1, changes in energy demand. After warming temperatures in the spring, more energy feed will increase the body weight of chickens. This will not only promote chickens to lay eggs, but will reduce the chicken's egg production rate. The reduction of metabolic energy to 2700 kcal can significantly improve the chicken's egg production rate. The method of reducing the metabolizable energy content of chicken feed is mainly to reduce the proportion of corn and other cereals in chicken feeding.

2, changes in vitamin needs. With the rise of egg production rate in spring chickens, vitamin supplements are needed.

3, changes in mineral needs. As the egg production rate progresses, the hen's demand for minerals also increases. If there is a lack of calcium in the chicken feed, the chicken will have soft shell eggs, shellless eggs, and even eggs. Therefore, at this time, the calcium content in chicken feeding should be improved from 2% to 3% to 4%, and the phosphorus content should be increased from 0.5% in winter to 0.6%. If the phenomenon of poor appetite is found at this time, the amount of salt in chicken feed should be increased to 0.1% in an appropriate amount, and some mineral feed additives should be added appropriately.

4, changes in protein needs. When the chicken egg production rate reaches 50%, the protein content should reach 15.5%. After every 10% increase in the chicken egg production rate, the digestible protein content of the chicken should increase by 0.5%, but it must not exceed 18.5%. The method is mainly to add more fishmeal, bean cake and so on.
