The Mahonia fortunei Lind Ifedde, also known as the cat's head, is the evergreen tree shrub of the genus Staphylococcus. The whole plant was smooth and glabrous, stems were stout, erect; roots were thick, yellow; singular pinnate leaves were alternate, and each compound leaf had 5-9 leaflets. Yellow flowers. Full bloom in autumn.
