Freshwater shark farming technology

Freshwater sharks, also known as tiger sharks and puddings, are native to Malaysia. Since the introduction of China in 1998, there has been an upsurge of breeding in Guangdong, Hainan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Jiangsu and other provinces and cities, showing a huge market potential. Freshwater sharks are delicate and delicious, with no intermuscular punctures. The market price is between 60 and 80 yuan per kilogram, which is still in short supply. In addition to serving as a food fish, freshwater sharks have a higher ornamental value, and their cartilage tissue has a high medicinal value. The freshwater shark seedling cultivation and adult fish farming techniques are described below:
First, seed cultivation
1. Fry cultivation ponds are generally cement pools, with a depth of 1 m to 1.5 m, convenient for drainage and irrigation, and barriers at inlets and outlets to prevent enemy organisms from entering the pool. The fry were disinfected with 125kg to 150kg of clear lime per acre in front of the pond and disinfected for 1 day to 2 days before being applied to the base fertilizer. About 1 day after hatching, the fry can grow up to 1 cm in length and has been able to feed on copepods and branches. At this point you can put into the fry pool cultivation. Before soaking, soak the fish with 3% to 4% of salt water for about 5 minutes. The depth of the pool water starts from 0.6 meters and is gradually deepened with micro-flowing water. The stocking density is 50 to 100 tails per square meter.
On the second day after the seedlings were placed, they were fed with cooked egg yolks, which were divided into 6 times every 4 hours. After 7 days, the fish meal was changed. Due to fish meal, it is easy to cause bubble disease in fish fry. During the cultivation process, it is best to drain away 10 cm of old water from the bottom of the pool every day, and add fresh water. Every 10 days, use 110-6 bleach to prevent disease. After about 30 days of cultivation, the fry generally grows to a size of 4 cm to 5 cm in length, and can be placed in large pools for fingerling cultivation.
2. Fish breeders should choose stocks of individuals with strong physique, no disease, no injury, neat specifications and strong water repellency. The area of fish breeding ponds is preferably 500m2 to 2000m2, with a water depth of 1.5m to 2m. After the fish species are stocked, they shall be sterilized with quicklime ponds for disinfection. When stocking, attention should be paid to the temperature difference should not be too large, when the weather is clear and the wind is small, the seedlings have a good effect. Stocking densities range from 3 to 5 per square meter.
Fish species are best fed with full-grain pellets containing more than 35% crude protein. After the ponds were tamed in time, a small number of feedings were used initially. With the fish species feeding and eating normal, you can vote once a day or in the afternoon. The total feeding amount was 3% to 5% of the fish's body weight. The feeding principle was based on 80% of the fish species. After 10 days, the fish body is as long as 5 cm to 6 cm.
Second, adult fish breeding
1. The pond culture ponds can be 1,000 square meters to 3,000 square meters, with a water depth of 1 meter to 2 meters. From April to May each year, when the water temperature reaches 18 degrees Celsius or above, 8 centimeters to 10 centimeters of shark fingerlings per acre are placed. Tail ~ 2500 tails. Artificial feed or small fish, shrimp, bran, etc. are fed. If artificial feeds are fed to feed, they are usually fed twice a day. They are fed 40% of the daily dose from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 60% of the daily dose from 3 p.m. to 4 a.m.
In addition, the freshwater shark pond culture can be mixed with the four major fish and tilapia, shrimp, crab and other polyculture, generally 8 centimeters to 10 centimeters of shark fingerlings per acre of 60 to 80 tail, without additional feeding, can Make full use of pond water space and increase production.
2. The volume of cage culture cages is generally 15 to 20 cubic meters per mouth, and 100 to 150 tails of fish species of 8 to 10 centimeters in length per cubic meter. It is best to use artificial feed, protein requirements of more than 35%.
Third, disease prevention
1. Enteritis fish disease Slow action, do not eat, abdomen enlargement, body color black, anal swelling, gently press the abdomen by hand, yellow mucus outflow, sick fish died faster. Control can be used "Allicin", per kg of feed added 0.1 grams to 0.3 grams of feeding; can also use furazolidone, 0.2 grams to 0.3 grams of feed per kg feed.
2. White spot disease, also known as small melon worm. On the fish's skin, fins or gills, a small white spot can be seen, and a large amount of mucus is secreted, and the small melon body can be observed by microscopic examination. Prevention and control can be used to "kill fish and insects", 200 grams per acre sprinkling; or with 40% "fish and insect clear" feed added to drive insecticide.
3. Bubble Disease Freshwater sharks are prone to air bubbles when applying fertilizers such as agricultural organic fertilizers. Under oxygen saturation, seedlings are prone to cause air bubble disease. Excessive ammonia-nitrogen gas at the bottom of the pool can also cause air bubbles and cause death. Therefore, in the water body fertilization should use nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium compound fertilizer mixture. The bottom of the pool should be treated with "bottom net", "ammonia net" and other treatments. In the absence of oxygen, the appropriate amount of oxygenating agent should be used, and less or no oxygen pump should be used.

Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (SAPP) is White, crystalline powder or granules. it is soluble in water, PH of 1% is about 4. It may contain a aluminum and/or calcium salt to control the reaction in leavening systems. It acts as a buffer, leaven, modifier, emulsifier, nutrient and canning preservative in foods. It includes SAPP15,SAPP28,SAPP40,etc.
