Chicken vitamin E deficiency treatment formula

During the feeding of chickens, some chicken farmers often find that some chicks have green chest and stomach under the belly and cut open skin and green water. Suffering chickens are unstable and die within 2 days to 3 days. The disease is vitamin E deficiency.

The etiology is mainly due to the lack of vitamin E or vitamin E in the feed, and no feeding of green feed, resulting in vitamin E deficiency. The disease is often combined with "selenium deficiency." It usually begins when chicks reach about one month of age. The incidence of two-month-old chicks is relatively high. Some chickens still develop this disease before they start production.

Symptoms Chickens had swollen heads, edema of the jaws, subcutaneous edema of the chest and abdomen, subcutaneous edema of both legs, difficulty in standing and walking. Once the abdominal skin appears green, it quickly dies.

At the autopsy and necropsy examination, the subcutaneous product of the edema site showed yellowish-greenish exudate, and the muscles were pale and dull, with grayish or yellow-white dotted or necrotic foci. Increased pericardial fluid, sometimes visible in the pericardial cavity or abdominal cavity, red-purple bleeding points or bleeding spots, light and dull muscle color, mixed with gray or yellow-white dot-like or linear necrosis. Increased pericardial fluid, sometimes seen in the pericardial cavity or abdominal cavity yellow translucent jelly exudate, as well as heart deformation, brain softening and other diseases.

Precaution

Using a mixed feed containing multiple vitamins, it is best to add some green feed properly.

The chicks were supplemented once with sodium selenite for about 1 month. Take 0.1% sodium selenite 1 ml mixed in drinking water, for 100 chickens once Beverage Service.

treatment method

Give vitamin E: Buy vitamin E capsules (personal vitamin E capsules can also be), each chick swallowed one, swallow another one a day later.

Supplementing green feed: Add some green feed such as cabbage and carrots to the feed.

Selenium supplementation: Use 1 ml of 0.1% sodium selenite for 50 chicks to drink, and use it once. Note that the amount must be accurate to avoid excessive poisoning.
