Rice seed cellar method

Digging pits were selected where the leewards were sunny, the terrain was slightly high, and the groundwater level was low. The size of the pits was determined by the seed storage volume, topography, and soil quality. Generally, 2.5 cubic meters of pit can store 250 kilograms of rice seeds. The cellar depth should be 1.5-2 meters. If the cellar is deep, the humidity in the cellar is easy to increase and the moisture content of the seed is increased. The size of the pit is about 2 cubic meters, and the soil quality should not exceed 3 cubic meters. The long cellar is better than the circular cellar, and it is easy to control the temperature. The cellar temperature is not too high and the cell type is not good.

The time for rice seedlings to enter the pit is preferably 3-6 cm thick on the soil layer, and it is better when the pitting time is 6-10 cm thick when the soil layer is frozen. Premature cellaring, the temperature is still not stable, once a freeze, easy to reduce the germination rate of rice seed; cellar out too late, rice seeds easily damp and reduce their viability. After harvesting, the rice seeds should be covered with cold, avoid direct sun drying, so as not to break seeds and reduce their germination rate. After the pit, the rice seeds are placed in a ventilated place, dried and then dried.
