If you hear a crisp metal-like impact sound, the vacuum is good; if you hear the sound is turbid, you should check the bubble. When checking the bubble, the bar clamp cap should be removed. The tilting gauge is lowered by about 15cm at the top of the watch. The diameter of the bubble at the top of the pipe should be no more than 1mm. Otherwise, it will be unqualified and must be returned to the factory or repair department for inspection.
2. Installation: The air pressure gauge should be installed in a pressure chamber with less temperature and sufficient light. There is no pressure chamber station. It can be placed in a special protective box. The air pressure gauge should be firmly and vertically suspended from the wall, cement column or solid. Do not place on wooden columns near heat sources (heat pipes, stoves) and doors and windows, as well as direct sunlight. Do not stack debris in the pressure chamber. The installation steps are as follows:
(1) The hanging column and the centering device are mounted on the hanging plate, the hanging column is mounted on the long white porcelain plate of the hanging plate, and the centering device is installed at the lower part of the hanging plate. Install the assembled hanging plate securely and vertically in the selected position. The height of the hanging plate installation should be convenient for observation by the observer.
(2) Hang the checked air pressure gauge on the slab of the hanging plate so that the body is free to sag, screw the safety screw on the hanging post, and then use the three positioning screws on the centering device to press the air pressure gauge. The groove is fixed to ensure that the barometer is in a vertical state.
(3) Relax the pressure gauge groove adjustment handle 3-5 turns, so that the mercury surface of the groove is lowered to 2-3mm away from the elephant tip.
(4) The air pressure gauge is stable for 4 hours after installation, and observation can be performed.
3. Observation steps:
(1) Read the temperature indication value of the attached thermometer, accurate to 0.1 °C
(2) Adjust the groove adjustment handle so that the mercury surface slowly rises until the pressure point just meets it. If it is seen that the needle tip is inserted into the mercury surface and the small pit appears on the mercury surface, the mercury surface must be readjusted. It is necessary to ensure that the mercury surface rises and meets the requirements of the needle tip.
(3) Gently tap the metal outer sleeve of the barometer with your finger to form a good meniscus at the top of the mercury column.
(4) Rotate the handle of the vernier adjustment mechanism so that the bottom edge of the cursor is slightly higher than the top of the mercury column, and then slowly adjust downward so that the bottom edge of the cursor is exactly tangent to the top of the meniscus of the mercury column. At this time, the triangles should be visible on both sides of the apex.
(5) Read the integer scale value on the main scale below the cursor “O” line, and then find the score line value aligned with a certain score line on the main scale on the vernier scale, then the line value is a small value, an integer The value plus the small value is the pressure value of this observation.
(6) After the observation is completed, the mercury surface of the groove should be lowered to make it 2-3 mm away from the needle tip.
(7) The displayed barometric pressure value only indicates the height of the mercury column observed. In order to obtain the pressure of the station, the mercury barometer reading sequence must be subjected to three steps of instrument correction, temperature correction and gravity correction.

When the mercury surface of the moving groove type air pressure gauge produces oxides, it should be removed in time. For a barometer with a filter plate device, you can slowly loosen the bottom of the groove to adjust the spiral, so that the mercury surface slowly descends below (the action should be gentle, so that the mercury surface just flows down the plate, and should not be lowered again, so as not to be inside. The tube escapes into the air), and then gradually tightens the bottom of the groove to adjust the spiral so that the mercury surface rises to the vicinity of the needle. Repeat this method several times until the mercury surface is clean. If there is no “filter plate” device, if the mercury surface is seriously oxidized, it should be reported to the superior business department for processing.
The barometer must be suspended vertically and should be regularly calibrated at two locations at right angles to each other with plumb lines.
If the convexity of the mercury column of the barometer suddenly flattens and no longer recovers, or the indication value is not normal, it should be reported to the superior business department for processing.
