1. Structure and Principle The pneumatic brake system of the small four-wheel tractor is mainly composed of an air compressor, a brake valve, an air reservoir, a barometer, a gas pipeline, and a safety valve. The air compressor is driven by the drive belt wheel mounted on the wheel end of the clutch belt or the drive belt wheel installed on the left outreach shaft. Compressed air enters the air tank through the air pipe and enters the brake valve through another air pipe. The valve is connected to the tractor brake system via a connecting rod. When the operator steps on the brake pedal, the compressed air in the air cylinder enters the brake wheel chamber of the trailer wheel through the brake valve to achieve braking; when the pedal is relaxed, the brake valve closes the passage of the compressed air and opens the brake valve. Discharge to the atmosphere and release the brakes.
2. Selection of parts models or specifications The performance of the main components of the small four-wheel tractor's pneumatic braking system should be compatible with the requirements for trailer braking in the East Road. Generally speaking, small four-wheel tractors with engine power of 10-15 kW are used. The type or specification of the main parts of the moving equipment can be selected as follows.
(1) The air compressor model is Z145, the rated speed is 1200r/min, and the displacement is 0.03m3/min.
(2) The volume of the air reservoir is 8-10L and the working pressure is 0.7Mpa.
(3) The barometric pressure range is 0-1.2Mpa.
3. Installation Requirements (1) The air compressor and brake valve must be securely mounted in the appropriate position on the bracket and must not be loosened.
(2) The gas pipe fittings, barometer fittings, safety valves and drain valves installed on each hole of the gas reservoir must be fastened and secured.
(3) The connection of the air compressor to the air reservoir and the air reservoir to the brake valve must be tightly connected; the pipeline layout should be smooth and there should be no dead angle.
(4) After the active drive pulley is installed, the wheel slot should be aligned with the passive pulley wheel slot and must not be skewed so as not to affect the service life of the V-belt.
(5) When the trailer brake hose is installed on the brake valve pipe joint, the compression clamp should be used to compress it.
4. Adjustment requirements (1) The V-belt of the air compressor should be tightened by hand. Press the center of the V-belt with four fingers to lower the pressure of 10mm.
(2) The operating pressure of the brake valve varies depending on the model, and the product has been adjusted when it is shipped from the factory. Generally, it is not allowed to adjust arbitrarily.
(3) The safety valve opening pressure should be 0.7Mpa. If it does not meet the requirements, the fixing nut should be loosened and the open bolt should be adjusted. When the barometer indicates 0.7Mpa, the safety valve should be opened and exhausted. At this time, tighten the fixing nut.
(4) Observe the mark of the main vehicle and the hanging wheel during braking, adjust the length of the pull rod to synchronize the braking of the main vehicle and the suspension, or the braking of the trailer slightly before the main vehicle.
5. Requirements (1) Check whether the surface of the oil in the crankcase of the air compressor is within the marking range of the oil dipstick. If it is not in the oil level, the lubricant should be filled.
(2) After checking that the installation is correct, start the engine so that it gradually reaches the rated rotation speed for 4 minutes. The barometer should display 0.7 Mpa. The pressure drop should not exceed 0.7Mpa after 5min stoppage, otherwise check the joints and pipelines for leakage.
(3) Check if there is any abnormal noise, heat, or air leakage during the operation of the air compressor. If necessary, stop and eliminate it in time.
(4) Before the start of the tractor, the barometer reading should be above 0.7Mpa, and you should always pay attention to the gauge pressure should not be lower than 0.7Mpa.
