South Korea discovers the principle of a new generation of "immune anticancer agents"

Release date: 2016-11-30

South Korea’s United Communications announced that the research team at Korea’s Konkuk University has discovered the principle of “immune anticancer agents” attacking cancer cells.

The human body contains a kind of T cells to detect and destroy cancer cells, but the cancer cells escape the T cell attack by binding to the immune proteins contained in the T cells and disguising them as normal cells. The team found that a new generation of "immune anticancer agents" can find immune proteins and weaken their functions, thereby reducing the camouflage ability of cancer cells, thereby achieving the goal of eradicating cancer cells.

Experts pointed out that through the research results, in the future, it is possible to significantly improve the anticancer effect by combining different anticancer substances. The results of the study have been published in the International Science Network Journal Nature News.
