The selection of sugarcane seedlings can generally be carried out in three steps, namely: block selection, strain selection and bud selection. If the fields are not planted in the field and the first two items cannot be achieved, the bud selection should be grasped. The selection methods for the seedlings are as follows:
(1) Block selection: After determining the number of reserved seeds, the newly planted sugarcane fields with strong growth of sugarcane, uniform distribution and growth of sugarcane varieties, high purity of the varieties, fewer diseases and pests, and no lodging are selected.
(2) Plant selection: When sugarcane is harvested, plant plants with cane stems erect and stout are left.
(3) Bud selection: Before the sowing, the buds were selected in combination with the pods. Select the normal cane stems, buds full of buds for seeding, shoot buds preferred as a species, the buds, dead buds, bad buds of the segments removed.
