The 9th International Conference on Biomedical Photonics and Imaging Technology was held in Wuhan

From November 2nd to 5th, the 9th International Symposium on Biomedical Photonics and Imaging Technology (PIBM 2010) was successfully held in Wuhan.

The conference was hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan Optoelectronics National Laboratory. It was hosted by Britton Chance Biomedical Photonics Research Center and held concurrently with the 3rd Photonics and Optoelectronics Conference (POEM 2010). Luo Qingming, Vice President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Executive Deputy Director of Wuhan National Laboratory of Optoelectronics, was the chairman of the conference. He was a Distinguished Professor of Washington University in St. Louis, Professor Wang Lihong of the Yangtze River Scholar and Academician Valery V. Tuchin of the Russian State Saratov University. Co-chairman. The conference consisted of five topics: photon therapy/diagnosis and instrumentation, tissue optics and laser and tissue interaction, biomedical spectroscopy and microscopy, multimodal and hybrid biomedical imaging, and optical molecular imaging.

The three-and-a-half-day meeting attracted 102 registered representatives from ten countries and regions including China, the United States, Russia, Australia, Canada, Israel, France, Ireland, Japan and South Korea. A total of 29 invited experts gave an invitation report at the meeting. Among them: Academician of the "Four Courtyards" of the United States, Professor Qian Wei of the University of California, San Diego, and the President of the International Biophotonics Alliance, Professor Dennis Matthews of the University of California, Davis, respectively, invited the special report of the conference; 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry Professor Aaron Ciechanover, Professor of Haifa Institute of Technology, Israel, and Professor A Stephen Dahms, Honorary Chairman and CEO of the Alfred Eman Biomedical Engineering Foundation in the United States, respectively, made the PIBM keynote speech.

The experts also included Professor Gu Min from Australia's "Two Houses", Director of the National Biophotonics and Imaging Platform of Ireland, Professor Martin J. Leahy, Fellow of the Royal College of Medical Sciences of Ireland, Professor Peter Saggau of Baylor College of Medicine, and Sergio of the University of Tufts, USA. Professor Fantini, Professor Andreas Hielscher from Columbia University, Professor Alexander Oraevsky, President and CTO of TomoWave Labs, and Professor Danica Stanimirovic, Deputy Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences of the National Research Council of Canada, and more than 20 international academic leaders in this field. The opening ceremony was hosted by Academician Valery V. Tuchin of the Russian State Saratov University.

A total of 56 papers were accepted for the conference. The collection will be published by the Royal Institute of Physics (IOP) and included in EI. The selection of outstanding student papers was mainly based on the 67 posters actually participated in the conference. Based on the evaluation of five foreign experts, five papers were selected as the first author's papers, and each person gave a 10-minute oral report. Accept 5 minutes of questions, vote according to the judges, select 3 winners, and award certificates and bonuses. Some excellent papers will be recommended for publication in the International Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences.

The International Symposium on Biomedical Photonics and Imaging Technology (PIBM) is the oldest global biomedical photonics event in Asia. It was founded in 1999 at Wuhan Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, and once every two years in Wuhan. Held in Tianjin in 2005. Since 2006, it has been held once a year in Wuhan, and this year is already the ninth.

Finished products of varicella vaccine. It has three qualities, good safety of gelatin-free, long validity period by good stability, better protection with high titer and immune efficacy. These improvements enhanced the vaccine safety and quality, and established BCHT the leading position in varicella vaccine. We have two different packages, penicillin bottle and pre-filled syringe. And it has been exported to other countries, such as India, Philippines.
